5 minute talk

In February 2021, the Department of Computer Science evaluated the impact on students of its move to online learning. This session will present the results of a survey of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as focus groups and interviews. There are important lessons to be learned about our choice and application of teaching technologies as well as our model of teaching and learning. Early indications are that students valued the freedom and flexibility afforded by the move online and would like this to be maintained as we return to face-to-face teaching. The discussion will explore the challenges that students faced as well as the differences in experience across departments and faculties.
