Social Justice in English for Academic Purposes

on

It’s more than two years now since I was invited to contribute a chapter to this edited volume. This is my first published chapter and I’m immensely proud of the text I put together with Mónica Sánchez and Mario López-Gopar. Paul and Michele have been incredibly encouraging and patient with me on the road to publication. The interview and writing process have also marked a turning point in my career as both an educator and researcher.

The chapter sits alongside a selection of exceptional essays from inspiring colleagues working in diverse global contexts.  A recording of the book launch is featured just below. Yvonne introduces her chapter on working contexts of digital poverty in the Middle East. Tomasz speaks about the arts-based, duoethnographic process he used with Lorraine and Iwona to explore the intersections of their classroom experiences. Finally, Jo Kukuczka unveils her curriculum for change. I’m incredibly honoured to have my voice and writing feature beside theirs.
