Growing up, I was always interested in science, and knew from a young age that I would have a scientific career. However, whilst medicine was always on my mind, I was hesitant to go into it fresh out of Sixth Form, unable to fully appreciate what either medicine or research involved. Studying my Undergraduate Degree in Applied Medical Science at UCL, has opened my eyes into the world of medicine. Case studies, problem-based learning, differential diagnoses, are just a few of the things that have helped me recognise how much I enjoy the intellectual challenge and teamwork of being a doctor. So I have embarked on a journey to gain hands on experience and to see first-hand the challenges and achievements of medical professionals, whilst doing my bit to make a positive impact in healthcare.
