as i move into a new room and create a new personal space, i explore the beauties and details of it.

I took a video of my friend Serena because the light was framing her really nicely and she looked especially pretty with the soft lighting. I thought it was also rather funny considering how I was recording her while she was setting her camera up so she could record.
In the quiet morning light, the squirrel sits quietly in the tree, small but determined. Its hair shimmered in the sun like a soft golden glow. It is motionless, as if time is frozen in the moment, and the noise and turmoil around it have nothing to do with it. Maybe he’s having a quiet time of his own.
At four in the afternoon in Victoria Gardens, the sun still shines brightly. Beams of light dance upon the lake’s surface, and whether it’s the intensity of the light or the lake’s crystal clarity, distant clouds seem to descend into the water, as if I could reach out and touch them with a mere stretch of my hand.

I decided to video my friends talking, I liked the mundane realism of their distain for studying and their small chatter. Unfortunately, I forgot to put the mic on so it looks like they’re simply miming speaking which is somewhat embarrassing on my part.
They were talking about being set up on a blind date and it really would have been funny if you could heard.
I photographed this beam of light because I imagined the final effect would be breathtakingly beautiful. When I exported it, I found that indeed it was. However, as I watched and contemplated it repeatedly, I became increasingly curious about what lay behind the light. Yet, I knew I could not see clearly. I wondered if there was a shy angel hidden behind the glow.
