Portfolio Assessment
Portfolio assessments take place at interim and end of module assessments (usually at 12 and 18 months). The assessment is usually focused on an extended intervention (or interventions) that you have documented in your portfolio of practice but may include discussion of other commonly used and high risk medicines.
The discussion will be around the scientific basis of medicines use i.e. pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, adverse effects and interactions, and your clinical decision-making processes.
This is a pass/fail component of the module.
The interim assessment will be completed in the workplace. Your portfolio should be reviewed by your Educational Supervisor prior to the assessment and the appropriate sign off form completed.
A sample of practitioners for interim assessments will also be called for assessment by the academic team as part of Quality Assurance processes.
