Useful Moodle tools part one.

Moodle has many activities that staff may be unaware of, see below for a few that you might find useful this term.

Want a collaborative way to share resources with your students?

Moodle Board

Moodle Board – this is a bit like a virtual pinboard with posts grouped within headed columns. Each post can display images, text, URLs and YouTube links.

If enabled, students can anonymously add their own posts and vote on others’ posts. Separate groups of students can also have their own boards to collate resources and work on projects.

Hot Question allows students to post anonymously and to vote on other submissions.

You can use it to find out what students did not understand in course readings or what they would like you to cover in future lectures.

Want to help students manage their time?

Activity completion  can guide students on the tasks that they are required to do each week and help them keep track of what they have already done. It is also useful to get a quick overview of students’ engagement with Moodle activities and resources.
