Meet the Postgraduate Team!

Orianna Bairaktari

Year 3 PhD

Hi! My name is Orianna and I am a third year PhD student, reluctant to call herself a final year PhD student, in the department of Psychology and Human Development. Research-wise, I am interested in bilingualism and cognitive control, but ultimately, I am an avid pop-culture enthusiast. I am always on the lookout for a new TV series, a funny stand up special or a weekly podcast. My goal is to supply you with enough fun facts that you inevitably become a nuisance to your friends, just as I tend to be after the fifth ‘Did you know, though’ in a day. Dora Kokosi

Year 3 PhD

Hey there! My name is Dora and I am a final year PhD Researcher at the Department of Psychology and Human Development at UCL Institute of Education. My research focuses on the role of inflammation in the association of socioeconomic differences with child cognitive development. I am also particularly interested in the well-being and mental health of doctoral students and as a member of the UCL ChangeMakers Better Together team, I would like to help to create a supportive community among students of all levels and degrees. Alongside my studies, I have been volunteering for four years now at Body & Soul charity that supports children and families affected by HIV. Email: dora.kokosi.15@ucl.ac.uk
