Celebrating World Poetry Day in Lockdown, with the Alexandra Players

I have been a member of the Alexandra Players theatre group since 1987. We regularly perform plays in our local community, in Charlton, London SE7. We are based in the Church Hall of the Charlton United Reformed Church and have our own stage and facilities. We have been meeting every Wednesday on Zoom since the start of the pandemic but have missed seeing each other in person and being able to put on live theatre. Our website manager, Louise, came up with the idea of making a contribution for World Poetry Day and some members of the group filmed their own renditions of favourite poems with particular meaning to the readers or just poems which we like or that could translate into a dramatic presentation. The result is the attached video.
