Thinking, sharing and highlighting digital education

In Focus – sharing your digital perspectives 🔊

Our recent survey of international students and their digital experiences shed light on some of the challenges that many international students face in terms of the assumptions that are made about them and by them.

We are excited to be able to offer a range of opportunities for international students in the faculty, to share more detailed examples of their range of digital experiences, and to participate in our Changemakers project.

Join us in our quest to make the reality of international students digital experiences visible.

These projects are open to any international student in the Faculty. If you are unsure whether or not you are in the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences, then take a look here and see if the department for your course is included in the list.

There are different ways that you can be involved. Depending on your time and commitment, please select from Level 1 (quick comments 💬) to Level 3 (paid opportunities💰):

Choose your level of engagement:

Level 1: Add to our Ideas Space 💡

Level 2: Use this Flip space to leave a video or audio reaction🎶

Screen shot of the International Students Flip spaceIf you would prefer to use this space in your native language, then please do so.  The way that this tool works is that you can join a space using the link provided – https://flip.com/2b4b3664 and you decide how to respond, either text/audio/video, it’s your choice.

Level 3: Apply to attend our online focus group or 1:1 conversation (participation selection and vouchers for your time) 🗣

In addition to the above, we have some limited places for more detailed discussions between each other in a focus group (approx 5-6 per group) or through a 1:1 conversation.  These can be either with the Student Researchers working on this project or with the Staff team members. The choice is yours.

Please use this form to provide some details about you and whether you would like to be part of a focus group, a 1:1 conversation, or both! If you participate, you will be given a £20 Love to Shop voucher as a thank you for your time.

🎯 If you feel you have shared everything that you wanted and would like to work on this project with us, please see details of current Changemaker projects related to this research.

And if anything here isn’t clear, or you have a question, please get in touch with Fiona 📧: Email Fiona Harvey (Project Leader based in the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences).

Thank you 🎉
