If you are using Reflect as the blogging platform or to create a website for your course then please follow the information provided to you via your instructor. In addition, I have created a short primer to Blogging using Reflect which includes all the advice available via the UCL Digital Education Team as well as a few tips that you might find useful (link above)

Remember:

  • Blogs don’t have to be text only, you can use any media including images, videos, audio etc, to tell your story
  • Blogging for your course helps you to engage with disciplinary knowledge and write for different audiences (or even the public if you wanted to) use the experience to develop this way of communicating with expert guidance from your instructors.
  • Reflect is one form of blogging, and there are many other platforms that offer similar spaces (Medium, Wix for example) all of these change over time but the underlying process remains the same, this is useful to know as you may well have to use a range of tools across your lifetimes, in different contexts.

Let me know if you are stuck with anything related to the use of the blogs (academic content and assessment guidance should always be for the attention of your instructors)

Good luck and let me know how you get on, ~Fiona
