Thinking, sharing and highlighting digital education

The Digital Experiences of International Students in SHS

Like a lot of universities, we have many international students. Just like our Digital Access for Success project, these students have hidden or unknown digital access issues, which we are hoping to find out more about through this project.

Working in partnership with students, we are building a proposal to identify the scope and direction of this project as we search for funding. It is often these students, who we assume are taken care of through their personal resources and connections with other students, who find it hard to tell us about any digital access issues and so work around them rather than ask for help.  Again, we also want to know more about the ways that digital tools can support students and how we can help them feel part of SHS in meaningful ways.

The project team consists of  5 international students who shared their experiences and put forward a proposal with the support of Natasha Catnott (EDI Coordinator for SHS) and Fiona Harvey (Faculty Learning Technology Lead for SHS).
