Improving Assessment and Feedback through Digital Tools: Can we? Should we? How do we even…?

In mid-October I will be participating in an online University of Birmingham event looking at how we can improve Assessment and Feedback through digital tools. As the brief explains:

This webinar aims to open the door to the frustrations and opportunities experienced by academics, and professional services staff, who are implementing digital assessment tools in their institutions. While specific tools will be mentioned, the webinar will be tool agnostic – the aim is not to advocate for or against specific platforms but to discuss the steps taken with regards to their implementation.

The panellists are myself; Dr Jon Tandy – a Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Kent; Alison Gibson who is part of the Higher Education Futures institute (HEFi) Digital leadership team at the University of Birmingham; Dr Linda Lefièvre, Senior Lecturer in Endocrinology in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Birmingham; and Professor Nicky High in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester.

Location: Zoom webinar
Dates: Monday 16 October 2023 (12:00-13:00)

I spoke about this particular area a few years back at the ALT Conference while at a different instutution. You can see my slides (Making your mind up: Formalising the evaluation of learning technologies) and a recording of the session.
