20220406-Designing eportfolio-based assessment activities-finalPresentation notes
Eportfolio discussion (slides 3 to 10)
We discussed what an eportfolio is and what various uses we could find for eportfolios. We also looked at the essential 'ingredients' for a portfolio which are a statement competency, evidence and reflection, in various amounts, depending on the task.
We looked briefly at existing rubrics that may help in assessing eportfolios.
Task presentation (slides 11 to 13)
We reviewed the parameters to consider in an eportfolio task design more specifically to do with assessment tasks.
Group Design (slides 13 and 14)
Groups worked on their wireframe, specification and design, using the consideration points provided.
Show and Tell (slides 15 to 17)
Groups shared their work so far and we looked briefly at what other aspects may need further consideration, including accesibility, UDL, the possibility of using template and reviewed links to employability.
Participants worked in teams for the workshop. The workshop allowed us to discuss various uses of eportfolio and the groups initiated work on designs on a portfolio activity. The presentation included a checklist of considerations to review when designing an eportfolio activity. This was also provided as a handout for each group.
I’m happy to be contacted for further questions, a repeat of the workshop or other eportfolio related queries. Please Leave a Comment.
